Ms.Tharushi Karunarathna holds the record for both 400m & 800m events at the All Island School Games 2019 while being the gold medalist for both events. She too holds the record for the 800m at the Sir John Tarbot Senior Championships 2019 & is the gold medalist for both 400m & 800m. Ms.Tharushi was awarded the best female athlete under 16 at the provincial meet in 2019.
Ms.Tharushi Karunarathna lives in Kandy. She’s currently training at the Digana Provincial Stadium along with professional athletes who represent the national team. Her future plans are to continue athletics & higher studies to become a pilot.
